MEET OUR FOUNDER AND CEO, VENTURE CATALYST, SERENA BROCK
At a very young age, founding partner Serena Brock was introduced to the benefits of business ownership. "Growing up in a business made it easy to understand the complexities and the lifestyle demands of ownership," states, Brock. "I knew very early that working for someone else would not be my end goal, just the beginning to gain enough experience outside of my family businesses". As a result, Brock MacNeill's mission is to focus on both the growth of our client partners and those in which we have deeper involvement. The benefit to our clients is that we focus on the end goal as if it were our own company with or without the personal stake.

Venture catalysts are experienced, successful entrepreneurs and old-fashioned, venture capitalists who get far more pleasure out of building companies than just reading business plans and analyzing monthly financial reports. A venture catalyst is adept at discovering and polishing ‘diamonds in the rough’, those rare ventures which have enormous potential, but aren't quite ready for venture capital or are ready but don't know how to go about getting it.

The obvious commitment level, along with the visible and measurable client results naturally led to the propositioning of other business leaders and product inventors. "I was honored to have the repeated offers for business partnership and/or interest in another venture, but soon realized that I was spreading myself too thin," admits Brock. "So, after much thought and consideration, it was obvious that we had grown beyond your typical marketing firm."

We actually do produce results! We are venture catalysts, truly interested in taking your company to the next level. We can do that on a retainer basis, transaction basis or formal company agreement. After all, we have never believed in anything "traditional"! In fact, we enjoy the challenge of new risks and have an incredible team who are capable of collectively finding new ways to take a business and/or product to new levels.

As venture catalysts, a percentage of our profit is allocated to a venture capital fund and used for our intellectual properties. If you present us with an opportunity and we are equally as passionate about it, there is a good chance that we will negotiate either a predetermined fee to take it to market success or hold onto a % of the royalties/equity stake. After all, we are not just your ordinary chicks!
